Iceland have confirmed they are looking to open up one of their “larger format” stores at the Gapton Hall Retail Park.

There had been rumours that it was to open up as a replacement to the store at Market Gates.

However a spokesperson for the supermarket chain has come out to deny this. A statement said: “We’re exploring opportunities to open one of our larger format Food Warehouse stores on the Gapton Hall Retail Park.

“This would be done in order to complement, rather than replace our Iceland store based already in Great Yarmouth.

Plans have been approved for Iceland to build a refrigeration unit and two rear compounds in an empty unit at Gapton Hall.
