As part of their topic, Year 4 pupils from Caister Junior School had an India day. The day consisted of a variety of activities to allow the pupils to experience elements of life in India. The pupils learnt about and choreographed their own Indian dance, thanks to a very talented Lorraine Theobald. As well as this many pupils enjoyed tasting a range of Indian foods; making Rama and Sita finger puppets; and tested their knowledge with an in-depth, fun, quiz. The pupils had a thoroughly enjoyable day and enhanced their awareness of what life is like in another country, creating an atmosphere of greater understanding and mutual respect for different cultures and beliefs.
