VETS are trying to trace the owners of a cat hit by a car at Caister - and were this week hoping to reunite her with her family before Christmas.
A Good Samaritan picked up the stricken cat after it was struck in Ormesby Road, close to Haven Holiday Village, leaving her with serious head injuries and heavy blood loss.
She was taken to Haven Veterinary Surgeons, in Queen Anne's Road, Great Yarmouth, last Thursday after efforts to trace her owner drew a blank.
Sarah Kostuk, head nurse at Haven, said the puss was quiet and lethargic from shock when she arrived and had to be fed through a syringe.
She was given drugs to take away the inflamm-ation from a head wound and checked in case of brain injuries; however, she had since made a good recovery and was eating solids again.
Anyone who recognises the cat can call Haven on 01493 416700.

The vets are appealing for donations of dog, cat or bird food as part of the Give a Stray a Christmas Meal appeal. These will then be distributed to animal charities in the Yarmouth area. Donations can be made direct to Haven Veterinary Surgeons.
