Jim Hall, 60, and Andrew Ventham, 49, are believed to have murdered Derick Tempest at Hall's Garage in Camden Place on October 28 and then dumped his body into the River Yare.
Mr Hall and Mr Ventham were found dead in a car in the garage five days. They lived in the same house in nearby Queen's Road.
Although a cause of death has yet to be identified it is believed that they killed themselves by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Yesterday Yarmouth coroner Keith Dowding adjourned the two men's inquest for the second time because of the on-going police investigation into Mr Tempest's disappearance and suspected murder.
Mr Tempest, 30, of Nottingham Way was last seen in the Blackfriars Road area of town on the afternoon of October 28 when it was thought he was heading towards Hall's Garage.

Forensic evidence found in the garage led police to believe that Mr Tempest came to serious harm there - prompting the launch of a murder investigation on November 17.
A white van, registration T625HJW, was seen leaving the garage on the night of October 28 and detectives believe it was used to ditch Mr Tempest's body into the Yare in the South Denes area.
Last month a police sonar team and army divers scoured the Yare in vain for his body.
On November 12 Mr Dowding opened and adjourned an inquest into Mr Hall and Mr Ventham's death at the town's magistrates court and said that further tests were needed to confirm how they died.
