In honour of International Women’s Day 2018 we have rounded up seven local women to follow on social media.

Whether it’s being an epic girl-boss, a fantastic author or just plain awesome, these women prove that girls really can do it all. Follow them for your daily dose of female inspiration.

•Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE: Jessica is a 21-year-old paralympic swimmer from Great Yarmouth. After losing her funding and fearing retirement, she has continued to defy expectations by winning numerous competitions. •Emma Healey: Emma is an author and graduate from the University of East Anglia. Her amazing first novel, Elizabeth is Missing, won the coveted annual Costa Book Award. She is still based in Norwich and her new book is out this spring. Follow her on Twitter at @ECHealey
