Open Christmas Great Yarmouth will be held in the Marina Centre on December 25 between 11am and 5pm.

It promises to offer a Christmas Day to remember for those who are on their own, homeless, or struggling to make ends meet.

As well as offering a warm welcome and free meal, there will be free entertainment, a raffle and a goodie bag to take away.

There is no need to book in advance and free transport will be provided if required to attend the 21st Open Christmas Great Yarmouth event.

Issuing an invite to those who might be interested in attending, David Minister, from the Open Christmas team, said: “Once again, we are gearing up to host the biggest Christmas dinner in the town.

“Whether you are alone or homeless, struggling to make ends meet, or just want some company, come join us at Open Christmas for a free Christmas dinner at the Marina Centre in Great Yarmouth.

“There will also be entertainment including bingo, raffle, jumble and a goodie bag to take away

“There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.

“Doors open at 11am, lunch is served around 12.30pm and the event closes at 5pm. And for those without transport, don’t worry - we also offer free transport to and from the venue and use wheelchair-friendly mini-buses as required.”

The event is funded entirely by donations from local businesses and individuals and Mr Minister wanted to thank them for their support.

He added: “This is the 21st event we have hosted, having fed more than 6,000 people over the years on Christmas Day.

“So come along and join the f
un. We look forward to giving
you a genuinely warm welcome and a memorable Christmas
Day.”

To book transport and for general enquiries people can contact Mr Minister by calling him on 07928 927 053 or emailing openchristmas.greatyarmouth@yahoo.co.uk
