Legendary Welsh crooner Tom Jones is to swap the green, green grass of home for the green lawns of Holkham Hall for an outdoor concert being billed as 'the event of the summer'.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday for the Norfolk stately home gig announced today to take place on Sunday, July 23.

With more than 100 million record sales under his belt - including the instantly recognisable hits It's Not Unusual, Kiss, Delilah and What's New Pussycat - tickets are expected to be snapped up.

At the age of 76 multi-award winner Jones is currently a coach on ITV's popular talent show The Voice.

Promoter Colin Ward, of Live Promotions, said: 'We are delighted to be bringing one of the world's greatest performers to Norfolk with LHG Live in July. This will be the event of the summer.'
