THE final James Hurren Charity Fund Summer Ball “Beat It” in style, courtesy of a performance by a tribute act to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Mikki Jay, a tribute to the pop star, performed his Michael Jackson Hits at the ball at the Ocean Room in Gorleston on Saturday.
The event raised 1,092 for the Marie Keating Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Previously, funds went to help south east Asian communities affected by the tsunami on Boxing Day 2004, which claimed the life of ball organiser Dale Hurren's son James, 22, on Phi Phi island in Thailand.
However, Mr Hurren decided that as life had virtually returned to normal, the funds should go to a different cause.
