VISITORS are being asked to stay away from James Paget University Hospital if they have had symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting to prevent an outbreak of the Norovirus.
hospital chiefs said they were aware of recent outbreaks in the area including schools and other hospitals in the region.
Nick Coveney, director of nursing and patient services, said: “We ask patients and visitors to be extra vigilant. Please do not visit if you have recently had a sickness bug or have been in close contact with someone who has.
“We are urging people not to visit in order to protect our patients from this bug.”
