WARDS at the James Paget University Hospital are moving to increase rehabilitation available to patients following joint replacements. Barry Pinkney, matron in the elective division, said next Sunday's move was aimed at improving the orthopaedic rehabilitation service offered.
WARDS at the James Paget University Hospital are moving to increase rehabilitation available to patients following joint replacements.
Barry Pinkney, matron in the elective division, said next Sunday's move was aimed at improving the orthopaedic rehabilitation service offered.
He said: “The conservatory area on ward 6, funded from donations some years ago, will in future be used to its full potential for therapy and dining facilities.
“We already provide three days of rehabilitation for those patients having a joint replacement but these changes mean that this can take place in a more appropriate, designated area.”
The move will involve wards 6, 7 and 9.
