POLICE are appealing for information after hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery was stolen from a house in Gorleston. Officers believe the burglar reached inside a window of the property on Blackwall Reach and stole a pine jewellery box.

POLICE are appealing for information after hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery was stolen from a house in Gorleston.

Officers believe the burglar reached inside a window of the property on Blackwall Reach and stole a pine jewellery box.

The oblong shape jewellery box had a glass door and four drawers containing plain gold hoop earrings; two gold bracelets, one with small blue diamond cut stones and another with small gold links; a Celtic cross on a chain; a gold Sovereign ring and chain; a pendant from Egypt with the name Evelyn on; a gold watch with gate bracelet and a set of gold Creole hoop earrings.

The jewellery was worth more than �1,000.

The incident happened between 9am on Friday, June 19 and 8am on Sunday, June 21.
