Great Yarmouth Stroke Group members visited Caister Lifeboat station and had a great time. They had a tour around the centre, a film showing the history of the lifeboats followed by afternoon tea prepared by the station volunteers.
Many of the members got into the spirit of the visit including 98-year-old Joyce Johnson who would have loved to have gone on the lifeboat, but settled for putting on the lifesavers’ kit.
The stroke group meets at Belton Sports Centre in New Road on Thursdays, from 2pm to 4pm. For more details, call Sue Casey on 01493 781846.
