FIREFIGHTERS are currently battling a blaze in a kebab shop in King Street, Great Yarmouth.
The fire broke out at Capital Kebab House at about 3.40pm and the fire service was alerted by a man working in a shop opposite who saw smoke billowing from the building.
Eyewitness said Julo Magalhaes, of Oporto Café, said his wife had been working in the shop and noticed smoke coming from the building.
He said: “She shouted to me and said there was a fire and I called the fire service.”
Mr Magalhaes added it was not the first time he's had to call the fire service. “There was a fire in the building next door last year.”
Four fire engines including one from Lowestoft are currently at the scene and firefighters wearing breath breathing apparatus went into the three-storey building to fight the blaze.
