POLICE are appealing for information after staff were threatened at a Gorleston pub last Friday night.

The offence took place at about 10.50pm in the Tramways after four men were refused alcohol.

The men demanded to be served and threatened the landlord claiming they had a firearm but he continued to refuse to serve them before calling the police.

The suspects left the pub and armed response officers arrested four people on Lowestoft Road a short while later in connection with the incident.

No firearm was recovered and two men aged 39, 27 and two 20-year-old men, have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries. Earlier in the evening the men were witnessed in the Feathers public house, also on the High Street, where they were overheard talking about being in possession of a firearm.
