Access to Music is the UK’s first choice destination for school leavers who want to follow their passion for music and creative media. Ex-students include Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Jess Glynne, Tom Flynn and Laura Welsh to name but a few.

This pioneering partnership will provide Cliff Park students with a strong link and routes into careers in Music, Music Technology and Production, Media and Drama and Access to Music will be providing advice and support to students at the academy.

Through Access to Music, Cliff Park Ormiston students will be able to progress on to degree courses, or directly into the creative industries or other employment.

As an exciting start to the collaboration Cliff Park students Emma Clayton, 14, Eryn Burgess, 15, Emily George, 14, and Roddy Brewer, 14, performed at Latitude Festival this weekend.

Cliff Park principal Tamsin Poulter said: “We are thrilled to be developing lasting partnerships that offer our students excellent learning opportunities that reflect their passion.”

Students Emma, Eryn Burgess and Emily said: “Latitude was amazing! We managed to draw the crowd and they really seemed to enjoy our songs and the arrangements. It was also nice to be able to walk around the festival and watch loads of acts. It was such a great opportunity.”
