The travellers who moved onto land that a hospice is planned to be built on have been served a notice that court proceedings will be taken against them.
The group set up camp on the East Coast Hospice land at Sidegate Road in the Gorleston area on Friday.
The East Coast Hospice charity wants to build a 10-bed hospice on the site.
A spokesman for the hospice charity said: “We have been told that the notice regarding the court proceedings has been posted on the land and that some of the caravans look like they are preparing to move on.
“Hopefully this means that they will have vacated the site before any further expense incurred by the charity.”
