This week, Monday, I had the pleasure of attending the unveiling of the plaque on the house on Pavilion Road, Gorleston to honour Coxswain Wm Fleming.
I was expecting perhaps a dozen or so people to attend whereas there was possibly in excess of 100 in the bright sunshine.
It is good to know in this age when so much importance is placed on material things that there are people who still respect and value those who gave no much in decades gone by.
