The letter in last week’s Mercury in respect of the cafe in St Georges Park, Great Yarmouth, hit the nail right on the head. It’s an ill conceived eyesore.
Why didn’t the council think through the decision to allow a connected party to build and operate the cafe. It does nothing for the park; it has no toilet so who knows where the patrons are supposed to go to. Maybe the council leader could explain the decision and confirm the facility was put out to tender and that there were not more suitable proposals for the park.
