BRADWELL Library has reopened its doors to the public after undergoing a make-over in a bid to make the facility more attractive to users. The Lords Lane library received a complete paint job inside - with ceilings, walls and window frames getting a refresh.
BRADWELL Library has reopened its doors to the public after undergoing a make-over in a bid to make the facility more attractive to users.
The Lords Lane library received a complete paint job inside - with ceilings, walls and window frames getting a refresh. And the library stock of more than 12,000 titles has also been altered to include up to 400 new books, with some newly published titles.
The work was completed by volunteers over a month and it is planned to carry out similar work on the outside of the building in the next few months.
Committee chairman Peter Harrison said: “The place has had a general tidy-up and hopefully it will be more attractive to users.”
He said the committee were still looking into improving services at the library, including internet connection, to bolster numbers.
