OVER the years many seafarers have had good cause to be thankful to Caister Lifeboat.

But it was a chance for crew members and trustees to express their gratitude to friends and supporters last week.

The special guests enjoyed the hospitality during the annual Thank You Evening at the lifeboat station on Friday night.

Amongst those attending was Reg Scott who donated £1,300 to the lifeboat from his winnings on the TV gameshow Deal or No Deal.

The occasion saw the launch of Blackfriars Brewery's Volunteer Ale, specially made to commemorate the lifeboat's 40th anniversary.
