AN array of artistic talent was on display at the opening of a new exhibition that

allows the public choose their favourite.

Being shown at the Great Yarmouth Library Gallery, and entitled 'Renewal', the exhibition officially opened yesterday and will run till Saturday, April 24.

The opening was attended by Mayor of Great Yarmouth Tony Smith, and the exhibition features a select group of fifteen artists from Norfolk and Waveney.

It features work in a wide variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, prints and ceramics

and visitors will be able to vote for their favourite work on show.

David Jones, of SeaChange, who helped organise the event, said the opening evening had proved a great success with two artists already attracting sales.

“There's been a really positive reaction,” he explained, “both in terms of selling their works and to the quality of the library's new exhibition space.

It's a wonderful facility and several of the artists are keen to host their own solo exhibitions here.”

The exhibition is designed to afford local artists the opportunity to showcase and sell their work in a freely accessible space.

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm.
