PATIENTS in Great Yarmouth and Waveney are becoming increasingly satisfied with the care they receive from the local NHS, according to a new survey. Almost 60pc of local people said NHS services are being improved while a third believe services have got better over the past few years.
PATIENTS in Great Yarmouth and Waveney are becoming increasingly satisfied with the care they receive from the local NHS, according to a new survey.
Almost 60pc of local people said NHS services are being improved while a third believe services have got better over the past few years.
During the survey, residents were asked for opinions in a number of areas including the service offered by their local A&E department, GP practice, hospital and dentist.
NHS Yarmouth and Waveney recorded good results in a number of key areas, including providing a good services, helping to improve their health and wellbeing. And just over 70pc of patients say they feel safe their local NHS hospital.
Three quarters of residents are satisfied with the local A&E department and outpatient services.
More than 60pc of people were satisfied with NHS dentistry, while 66pc of people through hospital cleanliness was satisfactory.
Mike Stonard, chief executive of NHS Yarmouth and Waveney, said: “We are striving to provide everyone in Yarmouth and Waveney with the best possible care, both now and in years to come, and will now look at the results of the survey in more detail to identify any areas where we could improve still further.
“We would like to thank all of the patients who took part as the feedback they have given us is extremely useful.”
