Local riders set to take on Help for Heroes dawn raid challenge

A group of local bicycle riders will be taking part in a 140 mile cycle challenge in the name of charity.
For Colin Cole, Marvin Coe and Andy Barber, the journey will take them from the Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth to the Imperial War Museum in London.
During their journey they will be meeting with some riders from Ipswich as part of a “dawn raid” to the capital.
They are taking on the challenge to raise money for Help the Heroes.
Mr Cole, from Great Yarmouth said: “I am not a person with a military background but it is a charity I feel very strongly about.
“Those poor guys put their lives on the line for their country, some whose lives that are significantly affected by injuries and such as a result.
“I just feel that sometime they don’t get the respect they deserve and I would like to help.”

Mr Cole has organised for everyone to be at the Britannia Pier for 10am tomorrow before they depart at 10.30am.
They will first ride to Ipswich, whereupon grabbing a few hours sleep, with their team leader Andy White and the rest of the Ipswich Invasion team at the Ipswich Hospital at 4am on Sunday morning.
From there they will ride the remaining 100 miles at dawn which was the inspiration for the “Dawn Raid” team name.
So far more than £600 has been raised for Help for Heroes.
Mr Cole said: “Everyone is welcome to come along. We will have the Help for Heroes mascot, Hero Bear, there supporting and we are also going to be giving away for the price of a small donation some balloons, badges and rubber wrist bands. There will also be a collection there.
