A LUDHAM woman who has raised more than £20,000 for charity has been honoured with an MP's Local hero Award.

Norfolk born Blanche Gibbs, who has lived in the village for many years, fundraises for local organisations and for the East Anglia Air Ambulance.

She received the award in recognition of her work from MP Norman Lamb.

This year alone, the village school, Rainbows group, village hall, church room, bowls club, and the First Responders are just some of the people and organisations who have benefited from her fundraising monthly bingo evenings, as well as the East Anglia Air Ambulance which receives all the entrance money from her twice monthly car boot sales.
