Lynn Grove High School forge positive links with police
Police officers are forging new links with Lynn Grove High School to build closer working relationships between police, teachers and young people.
A new partnership agreement was signed between Bradwell Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and the school on Monday, September 19.
The agreement was signed by Alison Mobbs, head teacher of Lynn Grove, and Sgt Lou Provart of the SNT.
Sgt Lou Provart said: ”We know there is real value in a Safer Schools Partnership as pilots of such schemes, which started in the Metropolitan Police in 2004, have produced real successes.
“I am very pleased to be able to work alongside head teacher Alison Mobbs and her staff at Lynn Grove to foster a new culture of joint working. This will bring real benefits to our communities.”
Alison Mobbs, head teacher of Lynn Grove High School, said: “We are delighted to be working with Norfolk Police for the benefit of all of our pupils and our wider community.”
The agreement will enable officers from the SNT to work alongside staff, and with pupils in the school, to help solve some of the grass roots issues that affect individuals, and our communities, through closer information sharing arrangements.

Officers from the Bradwell SNT have already begun to work on initiatives with teacher Rob Day who is championing a new Pupil Voice council.
The council will have the opportunity to interact with the Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) to bring about a better understanding of youth issues and how we can collectively improve our community environment for the better for all ages.
