WE are used to recycling, but making lampshades is not the most obvious way to re-use old plastic bottles. Members of the Cool Craft class at Lynn Grove High School tried their hand at the task with help from a visiting group of Thai teachers and students last week.

Members of the Cool Craft class at Lynn Grove High School tried their hand at the task with help from a visiting group of Thai teachers and students last week. The party, from Phichitpittaya School in northern Thailand, were visiting Lynn Grove as part of a partnership programme between the two schools.
Teacher Sumon Chooprasit said: “The students here are really active and involved giving their ideas and asking questions. Thai students are more shy and quiet, classes are a lot smaller in England too.”
