A MAN has admitted trying to buy entertainment equipment worth £3,665 from Argos stores in Norfolk with a cloned credit card.

Je Ming Ho pleaded guilty to obtaining property by deception by using a copied car to try to a buy camcorder, 11 iPods, a sat-nav system and stereo speaker stands from Argos branches in Norwich and Yarmouth.

Yarmouth magistrates yesterday heard that the 32-year-old from Glasgow used the fake card at the stores on February 7 and 8 2006. Ho also admitted going equipped for theft after police found 12 cloned cards in various Chinese names on him.

Magistrates remanded Ho into custody and he will be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court at a later date.
