A MAN is in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of affray in Gorleston High Street yesterday .
Police were called to the scene at about 5.50pm following reports of an incident involving a man with a knife and a large group of youths.
Armed response officers were put on standby but not deployed.
A man was arrested by officers and taken to Yarmouth police station where he remains in custody.
