A 42-year-old man appeared before magistrates yesterday accused of being involved in the cultivation of hundreds of cannabis plants at an industrial unit in Watton.
Yu Song Shi, of Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, made no plea to a charge of being concerned in the production of cannabis at a disused former MOT testing station at the Threxton Road Industrial Estate.
The Chinese national, who was arrested on December 20 following the discovery of almost 600 cannabis plants, was remanded in custody by magistrates at Thetford. He was told that he would next appear before magistrates on February 16 where he would be committed to Norwich Crown Court. No application for bail was made.
