A MAN who smashed a glass over the head of a man he claimed made advances towards him in a nightclub was yesterday sent to a young-offender institution for eight months.
The victim needed four stitches to a head wound. Deniss Kuzecovis, a 20-year-old Latvian, of Victoria Road, Great Yarmouth, admitted unlawfully wounding the man. Jonathan Morgans, defending, said Kuzecovis did not deliberately pick up the glass to deliver the blow.
Sentencing Kuzecovis at Norwich Crown Court, Judge Paul Downes told him: “This is serious behaviour in this country.”
