THE NIGHT manager of a seafront hotel pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing £3,480 from the building's safe to pay off debts.
Ian Curtis was given a suspended prison sentence after he admitted taking the money from the White Feather Hotel on Marine Parade on October 9.
Yarmouth Magistrates' Court heard it was a one-off incident to pay some debts and that Curtis, 50, now of Bradford, west Yorkshire, had no previous convictions.
Curtis was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for a year, and ordered to carry out 150 hours' unpaid work.
