The broadland village of Martham, near Great Yarmouth, has received a double boost after it received a 10,000 community windfall and it was announced its youth club would soon be reopening.

Martham Parish Council has been given 10,000 of Norfolk Ambition funding to distribute to local community groups and organisation in 2010.

Anyone who wants to bid for a slice of the funding can call parish clerk Peter Dawson on 01493 749938, e-mail him at clerk@martham.gov.uk or write to him at 8 School Road, Martham, NR29 4PX.

In the second boost to the village the Martham Youth Club on Playing Field Lane is to reopen on the evening of Friday, November 6 at 7.30pm under the new banner of Just4U.

The new club is the result of a project involving the parish council, Flegg High School, the Playing Field Trust and the police and it has received financial help from O2 and the Martham Boat Dyke Trust.
