People are being given the chance to have a proper look at controversial plans for an access road in Gorleston.
The road being promoted by Badger Building at Church Lane has triggered stiff opposition with several on-line petitions, a paper version and a Facebook campaign rallying support.
Marlene Fairhead and Barbara Wright, whose council wards include the area around Gorleston Recreation Ground and East Anglian Way have arranged for neighbours to have a guided tour of the plans with the planning officer at Great Yarmouth Town Hall, tomorrow, at 3pm.
Mrs Fairhead said rumour and speculation were rife leading to some misinformation “flying about.”
The aim of the session was for people to have a full and accurate picture of what was being proposed.
The application relates to a scheme for 96 homes off East Anglian Way in Gorleston, near the borough’s Catholic primary school.

Access was a bone of contention from the start with people in the traffic-clogged close worried about the prospect of adding to school-run chaos.
The latest plan involves creating access at the edge of Gorleston Recreation Ground where people are worried about it eating into protected green space.
“The scheme has been a problem from the start,” Mrs Fairhead said.
“We have had lots of battles with them. They originally wanted to go in off East Anglian Way. They came back with a turning point but it was still going to be congested.
“They went away again and they have come back with these plans at the side of the recreation ground.
“It is a bit of a problem because people are saying it is going to take away green space.”
Residents of Church Lane, Recreation Road, and St Andrews Road have been invited to the meeting where the plans will be explained clearly.
Mrs Fairhead said it was important people had the right information.
“If they decide to turn this entrance down they will probably push it through again at East Anglian Way and we will be back to square one,” she said.
People have until April 23 to make their views known
