The Met Office has released another weather warning for today, and one including potential flooding on Sunday.

The yellow warning for wind is from 11am until 6pm today (Friday, September 29), and between 6am and midnight on Sunday, September 23.

Some bus and train services may continue to be affected through falling trees and branches, as well as a continuation of power cuts.

The Met Office warning said that delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely, and delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are also likely.

It also said a spell of persistent and at times heavy rain is likely on Sunday, with spray and flooding on roads probably making for difficult driving conditions and longer journey times.

Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, said the Met Office report.

Dan Holley, of Weatherquest said: 'Sunday is looking thoroughly wet, at least at the moment, with fairly persistent and heavy rain. But as high pressure builds into next week, the nights will turn rather chilly.'
