GOVERNMENT minister Huw Irranca-Davies MP will be visiting Hopton today to see the effects of coastal erosion.

The Minister for Marine and Natural Environment will be viewing the effects of coastal erosion along that stretch of coastline, and will meet with representatives from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, the Environment Agency and residents to discuss the issue. He will be meeting Yarmouth MP Tony Wright and the pair will then travel to Scratby to view the Coastal Change Pathfinder Project and meet with the Scratby Coastal Erosion Group to discuss how the project is moving forward.

Tony said: “I am pleased that Huw has accepted my invitation to come to Yarmouth. I and many residents in Hopton and Scratby feel that it is important that the Minister sees for himself the devastating effects of coastal erosion along this stretch of coastline.”
