A TENTH suspect has been arrested by police as part of an investigation into human sex trafficking around Great Yarmouth.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Friday, October 29, as he entered the UK from France, on suspicion of trafficking people into the UK for sexual exploitation.

The man was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Station for questioning and has been bailed until November 29 pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile a 66-year-old man has been charged with offences in relation to the investigation, codenamed Operation Feed.

The operation followed a 10 month investigation into human trafficking linked to Lithuania.

It culminated in a raid on several houses spread across central Yarmouth and Bradwell on Wednesday, October 14 involving 40 police officers in which there were six initial arrests.

The 9am raids were attended by TV star Ross Kemp for an upcoming series.

A man living on Exmouth Road, Yarmouth, has also been charged with three counts of causing a female to engage in sexual activity and has been bailed to appear at the town’s magistrates’ court on November 12.

Six people have now been charged with offences and three other men, aged 29, 31, and 35 remain on police bail.
