A mother and daughter are aiming to conquer the United Kingdom’s tallest peak to raise much needed funds for a local school.

Lisa Sole and her 16 year old daughter Cathy, are climbing Ben Nevis on July 26, to raise money for Reedham Primary School.

Lisa works at the Little Ducklings pre-school, based at the primary school, and it is also the school where her youngest children attend.

She said: “We are doing this to raise much needed funds for Reedham Primary School.

“I live in Reedham and my younger children attend the school. Community is something I feel passionate about and the school being at the centre of it all I decided any monies raised should go there.

“Funds are stretched incredibly thin and I really wanted to do something, however small, to help this lovely village school, where the teachers and staff give 100% all the time.”

As part of the fundraising Lisa has been putting leaflets in all of the children’s book bags, dropped leaflets around the village and written to some local businesses.

So far they have raised £150 out of their £500 target.
