Detectives have now spoken to the mother stabbed along with her daughters at their home in Norwich, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Mill Close, Norwich, at around 12.30pm on Tuesday to find Victoria Meek and her two children with knife wounds.

The 23-year-old is now described as being in a stable condition at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she has been questioned by officers.

Her three-year-old daughter remains in a critical but stable condition at Addenbrookes Hospital where she has undergone surgery. Her six-year-old daughter is in a stable condition at the N.

Isaac Williams, 28, believed to be the father of the younger child, was arrested in South Beach Parade, Great Yarmouth, at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon. He remains in police custody awaiting questioning.
