A carriageway on the A47 has been reopened after a motorcyclist had crashed into a car in Gorleston.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Norfolk police were called at 8.25am on Monday (March 25) to reports that a motorcycle had crashed into a broken-down car on the A47 near Victoria Road in Gorleston.

Two ambulances were to the scene and one person was taken to James Paget Hospital for further treatment.

The A47 Gorleston by-pass northbound, heading toward Great Yarmouth, had been closed and traffic was diverted up Gorleston High Street.

Police opened the road again after 9.30am.
