The MP for Great Yarmouth, Brandon Lewis, is encouraging groups in the borough to apply for coastal community funding.

Applications for round five of the Coastal Communities Fund have opened and the Government has made at least £40 m available across the periods 2019-20 and 2020-21.

The fund provides grants to help deliver sustainable growth and jobs to Coastal Communities such as those within the borough of Great Yarmouth.

Mr Lewis said: “This is yet another fantastic opportunity for Great Yarmouth to gain further investment from the Coastal Communities Fund. I hope that once again local people take advantage of the opportunity it offers. We have already seen the huge benefits that are made possible with CCF funding, such as the ‘Explore More Coast’ project, and this government is committed to supporting the regeneration in our coastal communities so they can be year-round success stories. I’d encourage all of those interested in seeing their communities continue to expand to apply.”

Further information on how to apply for a round 5 grant can be found on https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coastal-communities-fund-round-5 and any enquires should be directed to coastalcommunitiesfund@communities.gsi.gov.uk.
