A family album is missing some sombre scenes depicting the final farewell to a much-love 'mum' and 'nan'.

The glossy photographs were found in a chest of drawers bought from the British Heart Foundation shop in Great Yarmouth and delivered to this newspaper’s office with a note saying simply: “Please try and find their rightful owners.”

Among the images is a black and white picture of a woman who sat for the photographer decades ago, her short hair neatly parted and styled in vintage waves.

The sheaf of photographs in a white envelope with the name ‘Sue’ on the front shows a horse-drawn carriage carrying a coffin drawing up at what appears to be a sheltered housing complex.

Top-hatted funeral directors prepare the cortege while people gather to watch.

Also shown are floral arrangements which spell out ‘mum’ and ‘nan’ apparently in tribute to Violet Ashington.

Do you know who the photographs belong to?
