Volunteers are needed to give an insight into one of Great Yarmouth's most distinctive historic buildings.
The Norfolk Pillar, known as the Nelson Monument, will be open to the public again during 2010 and volunteers are needed to act as guides. The Monument first opened in 1817 as a tribute to the life and achievements of Admiral Lord Nelson and stands 144ft tall.
The Grade I listed monument will be open for tours on fourteen days during the year when visitors will be able to climb all 217 steps to experience the breathtaking views and, in particular, the view across the new outer harbour.

Full training will be provided and volunteers would need to be available for between three to five days from April and October.
