It wasn’t a sunny day, but it was clear - and Mercury photographer James Bass took the opportunity to capture some great scenes while he was at the top of Nelson’s Monument in Great Yarmouth recently. With the sea to his right,

James took this panorama giving a bird’s eye view of the playing field of Great Yarmouth Primary Academy - and in the distance can you spot the red-painted Caister Lifeboat shed, and Great Yarmouth Racecourse at the top left, its grandstand clearly visible?

You can also just see the top of the renovated St George’s Theatre.
