On Monday, 10 chicken eggs arrived in Red Class, at Alderman Swindell School and over the week exciting things began to happen. By Thursday the children found themselves taking care of some beautiful fluffy chicks. The children will care for the chicks for the next week before they return to the farm; all except two who will be adopted by Miss Saxton, the animal loving classroom assistant who will be taking them home. Red Class are looking forward to seeing them regularly as they grow into full sized hens.
