The vast part of the Fullers Hill roundabout work at the gateway to Great Yarmouth has been completed, Norfolk County Council has confirmed.
It re-opened during the week after resurfacing work was completed earlier than expected, with the new lane layout in operation.
The work created an extra lane on the roundabout by decreasing the size of the central island.
An additional right-hand turn lane was also put in on the North Quay approach.
The county council says that its street lighting contractor, Amey, will need to make some return visits to complete work on the lighting.
The £650,000 transport link improvement work started in September and the council says now it is operating in its new form “people can expect fewer delays in the area and shorter, more reliable journey times”. It is part of an overall £3.5m transport improvement scheme for the town.
