FOUR new members of the Air Training Corps have been enrolled as Air Cadets at a ceremony held at the 221 (Gt Yarmouth) Squadron headquarters in Suffolk Road, Gorleston.
FOUR new members of the Air Training Corps have been enrolled as Air Cadets at a ceremony held at the 221 (Gt Yarmouth) Squadron headquarters in Suffolk Road, Gorleston. The Reverend Ron Tuck, 221 Squadron and Norfolk & Suffolk Wing Chaplain, officiated and welcomed the cadets: Richard Chennells (16), Mitchell Hogan (15), Jake Minshull (13), Kelvin Smith (15).
The cadets are now eligible to partake in the majority of activities including gliding and adventure training.
Anyone interested in joining the squadron or finding out more should contact the unit on 01493 655136 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Air cadets aged 13 to 19 are given the chance to learn to fly, develop skills to lead expeditions, tour foreign countries, become target shooting marksmen, and learn about aviation and aerospace.
