LANDLORDS interested in providing high quality accommodation to students in the Great Yarmouth area are being invited to join a new scheme.
The expanding range of higher education qualifications - including foundation and full degrees - offered by University Campus Suffolk Yarmouth in partnership with Yarmouth College based at its Southtown campus means students need good standard accommodation nearby.
To offer students and their parents peace of mind and build a portfolio of rooms, flats and houses, a new Accredited Accommodation scheme is being launched later this month.
The scheme aims to provide a supportive and dependable link between students, their prospective landlords and UCS and will be launched next Tuesday.
All types of accommodation will be considered, from multiple-occupancy buildings to one-bedroom flats as well as accommodation for couples and families for mature students.
Landlords interested in joining the scheme will be sent an application pack, including the Code of Practice, an application form, criminal check form and information about fees.
To find out more contact Sue Chittenden, higher education advisor at UCS Great Yarmouth on 01493 419293.
