STUDENTS from Great Yarmouth College enjoyed a trip of a lifetime to New York. Fashion, art, photography and IT students spent five days touring landmarks, museums and galleries of the Big Apple for inspiration for their work. Budding designers and fashion students made contacts for their future careers; Computing and IT students watched New York’s traffic control centre in action and had a tour and talk about its IT systems.
They ice skated in Central Park, visited the Statue of Liberty, went to the top of the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Centre, Museum of Modern Art, Natural History Museum, Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building.
The next stop is Berlin next month, when media students will visit the Berlin International Film Festival after a successful trip there last year.
Arts courses at the college are recruiting now. To find out more visit www.gyc.ac.uk.
