Most of the day entailed individual reading. Students were treated to a presentation on the body snatchers in Great Yarmouth and the tale of the tragic death of Mary Jane Bennett in 1900. Students were also given a tour of the library and many were surprised to discover how much is on offer!

Two companies generously agreed to sponsor the Readathon: Connexions Norfolk will purchase equipment for the school library and Grenville Educational Media Ltd will supply a range of DVDs that can be used across the school.

Peter Pan, aka librarian Carol Kenton-Barnes, presented prizes for Best Reader for the day to Mary Walker in Year 10 and Best Participant for the day to Callum Cooke in Year 8. Mrs Kenton-Barnes who organised much of the day.
