Sarah also put her vocal chords to work for her sponsorship effort this weekend, after word of her talents got around the village and reached one couple.

She explained: “I was asked to sing at the wedding of a couple in the village during the signing of the register and in lieu of a direct payment to me they donated to my marathon run. They also approached the vicar for permission to encourage their wedding guests to make donations to my cause at the end of the service and donations totalled £46.56.”

Those interested in donating can do so on Sarah's fundraising website www justgiving com/ sarahbaileylondonmarathon2010.
